SHANNON DOMINGUEZ, DCH
Doctor of Clinical Hypnotherapy

Dr. Dominguez has been certified in Clinical Hypnotherapy since January of 1993. She is a member of the American Board of Hypnotherapy (ABH), The National League of Medical Hypnotherapists (The League), the International Hypnosis Federation (IHF) and the Texas Association for Investigative Hypnosis (TAIH). Each year she attends the annual International Hypnosis Federation to stay up-to-date on the latest hypnotherapeutic techniques. She specializes in medical hypnotherapy by physician referral, helping people manage pain, symptoms and side effects from the treatment of chemotherapy and radiation, symptoms from digestive disorders, anxiety disorders, and assists clients in preparation for surgery and transplantation - pre through post hospital stay. She is highly trained in numerous disciplines of hypnotherapy and offers consulting services to other hypnotherapists. While focusing on her medical hypnosis practice, athletes have been booking appointments with her to improve their game, focus, and confidence during tournaments and competitions. The improvement in their games has opened up her practice to include a sub-specialty geared towards athletes and hobbyists in the field of Sports Hypnosis. Please refer to the "Services" section for more information.

Dr. Dominguez's background includes consulting positions within the entertainment industry, private industry CEOs and the co-development of a miniature horse therapy program. She is a gifted intuitive, sensitive to the needs and concerns of others, and has always been drawn to helping people from children to the elderly. When time permits, she enjoys volunteer work and riding horses in the emerald green pastures of UpCountry Maui. Her love for animals is complemented by her work as the Director of the Animal-Assisted Therapy and Animal Education Program for the Haku Baldwin Center (formerly Maui Animal Aloha Center/Maui Horse Center), a non-profit organization.

As an expert in the field of pet therapy (the use of animals in the therapeutic environment), she's created two other websites that focus on her expertise there.
